Not only Miley Cyrus, there’s someone else also in the news because of his twerking controversy.
Three 6 Mafia rapper, Juicy J took to Twitter on August 22 and announced that he was offering $50,000 “to the best chick that can twerk.”
This obviously outraged a lot of people and pundits on social media. In fact Huffpost writer Krystie Yandoli came up with a list of ‘10 Alternative Scholarship Ideas to Juicy J's Twerking Contest.’
Seeing the backlash, Juicy J deleted the tweet but he moved to go forward with a scholarship competition in partnership with website World Star Hip Hop.
The “Juicy J Scholarship Competition” is asking women between the ages of 18 and 25 for a video to explain why they’re worthy of the tuition money.
Inspired by the track “Scholarship” in his forthcoming album Stay Trippy, the rapper is providing her female fans an opportunity win a $50,000 scholarship to their school. But what about your good GPA scores? It seems that he’s least bothered about your grades as the press release states that “grades are optional.”
So, it means a little bit of booty shaking can get you a $50,000 scholarship? If it really can then it’s sad to see to what extent these people can go to promote their upcoming albums. A large sum of money, encouraging women to be judged for shaking their booty is just disgusting.
