Summer Youth Employment ProgramThe Chicago Urban League is currently recruiting for Youth & Internship Summer Employment Opportunities within the Workforce Development Department! The Workforce Development Department at the Chicago Urban League has received a grant from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) for a Summer Youth Employment Program. Eligible youth that meet one or more of the following low income criteria and reside in Cook County may apply:
■ National School Lunch Program
■ Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
... ■ Food Stamp
■ SNAP Program
■ Low Income by HUD guidelines

The youth seeking employment should be able to provide proof of the above specified criteria and be between the age of 16 and 24. Youth will be employed at various sites for up to 8-weeks at $9.00 per hour/Part-Time. Job Placement & Retention Internship Opportunity. The Workforce Development Department at the Chicago Urban League is currently recruiting for two (2) interns who will work with the ex-offenders reintegrating in Chicago. They will assist in providing job readiness, placement and retention services. The applicant must be a current college student or graduate.
